Houston Patterson Junior, Born on June 8, 1952, Served in the United States Marines from 1972 to 1980.

Houston said he was drafted into the military.
His role or job during his service was mechanic, publication, and supply clerk.
When asked if he remembered his first day of service or boot camp and what it was like, he said it was "Like going through hell."
Houston served in Vietnam. During his time in the Army, he traveled outside of the U.S. to Okinawa, Japan and inside the U.S. he traveled to Cherry Point, NC.
His favorite or proudest memories from his time in the military was making new friends.

Houston mentioned boot camp and the rifle range were the most challenging part of his service. Discipline and self-control are things he learned in the military and still guides him today.
